The Corpse Bride was created by time Burton in 2005 with the two main characters being Victor and Emily. This romantic comedy set the stage for the usual love triangle; woman wants man, man wants another woman. In this cartoon, Burton focuses on the the typical love story of a young girl who is searching for her prince charming. The twist to it though is that she is dead. Burtons crazy ideas always astonish me! The amount of detail and attention placed into each scene was remarkable! I love the scenarios he creates and the beautiful story he allows to blossom from it. Victor was quick to judge poor Emily and felt nothing but disgusted with the idea of being married to her for the rest of his life. However as the story unfolds so does the love between both of these characters. This is another one of Burtons typical stories of the normal falling in love with the abnormal and I am fascinated with it!
